EVENT SCHEDULE

October 19th * 6 pm - 8 pm Providing Accessibility: General Dacey Trail Hay Ride: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Shelbyville and the General Dacey Trail are providing access to the trail for those who are physically unable. This hay ride will provide a service to those who may not have the opportunity to experience what the General Dacey Trail has to offer. Tours are available at 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm. Call 217-774-3951, ext 2 to make a reservation. Space is limited, walk ups will be accommodated as space is available. To start the hay ride, meet at the Shelbyville Aquatic Center in Forest Park.
October 20th & 27th* 6 pm - 8 pm

Dacey's Hollow Haunted Trail at the General Dacey Trail head in Forest Park.  During the first hour, the trail will be recommended for children under 13. Come out and enjoy the kid friendly haunt while helping to restore the Historical Chautauqua Building. Follow on Facebook-Daceys Haunted Trail. Dacey's Hollow Haunted Trail at the General Dacey Trail head in Forest Park.  Cost will be $5 per person.  Come out and enjoy the haunt while helping to restore the Historical Chautauqua Building.  It'll be a scream.  This haunt is recommended for ages 13 and older.

October 27th* 5 pm - 9 pm Strasburg Annual Halloween Celebration: Soup Supper starts at 5 pm with chili, chicken noodle soup, BBQ, hotdogs, polish sausage, chili dogs, pies, soft drinks, tea, coffee, & hot chocolate. The Parade starts at 7 pm with judging at 7:30 pm.. The cake walk will follow at 8pm. There will also be a merchant drawings. Call 217-644-3007 for information. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: storybook and fairy tales, TV and movies, clowns and hobos, monters, ghosts, and witches, cowboys and indians, military, animals, misc, under 3 years old, and adult.
October 27th* 4 pm - 6pm Moulton Middle School's Trick or Treat for Food. Students will go door to door in Shelbyville to collect canned and boxed food items to be donated to the Shelbyville First United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
October 27th 5:00 pm* Shelbyville Rotary Parade. Judging will begin at 5 pm and will be on the Main Street School east side blacktop.
October 27th* 6 pm - 8 pm Downtown Shelbyville Candy Run. Participating businesses will have a table or stand set up near or inside the front door and will have a Candy stop sign on their window or door. (Businesses: if you would like to participate, please contact 217-774-7806)
October 27th* 5:00 pm - ? Findlay American Legion Soup Supper and Costume parade. Supper includes chili, chicken and noodles, salads, and desserts. Donations will be accepted. A costume parade will follow in 16 categories with prizes in each for the top 3. The parade will be at 6:30 with judging at 7 pm.
October 27th* 6:30 - 8 pm VFW Post 4829 Children's Halloween Party. Shelbyville. There will be chili and hotdogs, a cake drawing, prizes, and fun. Call 217-774-4829 for more info.
October 28th* 5 - 7 pm?? Windsor American Legion Soup Supper and Halloween Parade. Supper begins at 5 pm. The parade will line up at the Library at 6:30 with the parade following.
October 28th* 5 - 7 pm?? Stewardson's Halloween Harvest Parade at Community Building.  Soup supper starts at 5 pm with chili, chicken noodle soup, potato soup, pulled port sandwiches, hot dogs, and dessert.  There will be a costume parade with prizes in each category and there will be special awards for most original, best homemade, and best makeup.  There will also be a Best of Show.  The Steardson HS Band will perform prior to the parade.  There will also be a cake walk and 50/50 after the parade.  You may only enter one category.    Parade and Cake Walk will be held outside weather permitting.  
October 28th* 6 - 8 pm Findlay's Trick or Treat Night. Please remember to only go to houses with the porch light on. Make sure your parents check your treats before consuming
October 28th* 6 - 8 pm Findlay's Christian Church hosting a Trunk or Treat and kids game area. Make sure your parents check your treats before consuming
October 30th* 5 - 8 pm Tower Hill's Trick or Treat Night. Please remember to only go to houses with the porch light on. Make sure your parents check your treats before consuming
October 31st* 5 - 8 pm Tower Hill's Trick or Treat Night. Please remember to only go to houses with the porch light on. Make sure your parents check your treats before consuming.

October 31st*

6 - 8 pm Shelbyville Manor and Hawthorn Inn in Shelbyville will be hosting trick or treaters. Be sure to bring your camera to take a picture of your child in the selfie station provided by Paddi's Air Filled Fun.
